Ouch!

I saw this on FB and couldn’t shake it all day. At first I laughed but there is a serious lesson to be learned. At a glance you have third world calling the first world’s gospel into question. Obviously no one knows the inner workings of the photo but someone’s description seems to capture what American Evangelicalism has become. It also could describe what missional theology can become if left in the hands of the privileged. The reality is that many would quickly label an emphasis on meeting the physical needs the “social gospel.” Its vitally important to remember that the mission of God is not just about preaching the gospel but we must also lives the gospel.
